For those that have been experimenting with Reality Capture with either the recent Autodesk ReCap, or 123D Catch or the much older Project Photofly, you have most likely come across problems dealing with incomplete meshes. For capturing detailed or ornate architectural environments you generally had to resort to a workflow that involved several programs or play about with solutions like MeshMixer to get a fully resolved mesh.

Well now a more serious solution is available in the form of Project Memento.

 Memento

It’s designed to be used with huge data sets and has some good tools for dealing with typical issues for meshes. Watch the overview video to find out more;

It is also accompanied by a great Getting Started Guide. It could be just the thing to clean up your meshes generated from photos via ReCap.

Capturing the real world for more accurate information within Revit does make for a betterRevit!
