In this week of big software releases (as usual David’s “What’s New in Revit 2014” post is more than suitably detailed) there was another launch, although slightly smaller and closer to home (for those in Brisbane!). While it may not yet be 100% official, the word is out ;
What is BrisBIM?
Our purpose is to facilitate and bring together the built environment community within the greater Brisbane region, to share and exchange thoughts and knowledge in respect to technology innovation across the industry.
The committee believes in providing an avenue for clients, practitioners, contractors and interested parties to come together in an informal gathering to discuss learn and share from others in the industry.
The non-profit group intends to meet bi-monthly and provide a range of topics from technical, managerial through to business and aspirational. We will be seeking speakers from a wide variety of backgrounds. We welcome sponsors to help provide an atmosphere of support and openness in our meetings.
Visit BrisBIM.com to find out more, and sign up to the mailing list to receive details about upcoming events. Registration for the Inaugural BrisBIM Gathering on April 23rd is open, and you can register now on the website to reserve your seat for this free event. You can also join the BrisBIM group on LinkedIn for the latest news and forum style discussions to keep you busy between meetings.
A well educated BIM community leads to better BIM for all. Surely this has to be a primary objective for betterRevit?
